The Texas Education Service Center Curriculum Collaborative announced it would no longer make sample lessons a part of the CSCOPE curriculum system as of August 31, 2013. Lubbock ISD has not required teachers to use these lessons; they are merely a resource available for use at the teacher’s discretion. CSCOPE will continue to be used in Lubbock ISD as the delivery system for the state-mandated curriculum.

Commencement exercises for Lubbock ISD seniors have been scheduled for Friday, May 31, and Saturday, June 1, and will take place in the United Spirit Arena on the Texas Tech University campus. Summer Reading Challenge 2013 is here! To participate, Lubbock ISD students, faculty and staff will complete a reading log of books read over the summer. These logs will be turned in the the first week of school. Reading logs are available in LISD libraries and on-line at www.LubbockISD.org. Click here to learn more.
